The Glamour Beauty Power List Box

I got the The Glamour Beauty Power List Box after seeing a post by A Thrifty Mrs (her blog is excellent!). I've never got one of these monthly box subscription things because the last thing I need to do is fill my tiny flat up with more crap - especially sample sized crap. I always have the good intention of saving them for holidays and traveling light! Well that's a load of bulls**t because I never travel light. Exhibit A:
This is what I took on summer holiday with me as my 'travel' makeup and skincare. I think I might need help - I didn't use a 1/4 of this btw...
Anyway the The Glamour Beauty Power List Box is really good and I was pleased with what I got for £15.99 still available at LATESTINBEAUTY.COM. I've been wanting to try the Laura Mercier Foundation Primer for the longest while and the sample is 30ml which is pretty generous - I've enjoyed using it.
You get sample sizes of:
Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser
Eyeko Eye Makeup Remover Wipes
Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defense
Laura Mercier Foundation Primer
James Read Sleep Mask Tan
And full size versions of:
Bourjois 1 Seconde Mascara
Maybelline Stripped Nudes by COLORsensational
GLAMOUR Magazine Subscription for iPad/iPhone
I hated the Eyeko Eye Makeup Remover Wipes - they made a mess, stung my eyes and the whole eye area, I'm going to keep the rest in my handbag for wiping swatches off my hand after a Boots visit.
Everyone knows the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser - great size for travelling with if you're not a psychopath and take 50% of your skin care on holiday with you.
The Bourjois mascara is alright - nice enough for the day, I wouldn't repurchase. The lipstick is nice but I was sent the shade Sultry Sand which is the palest and I am certain would have made me look like the walking dead - I went to my local Superdrug and asked if I could swap it - it was unused and they said yes so I replaced it with Tantilizing Taupe which is a nice nude.
I like the Philip Kingsley Daily Damage Defense but I already knew that - Philip Kingsley do great hair products. The one item I thought would be a bit weird has become my favourite and that's the James Read Sleep Mask Tan - it really is only the smallest hint of colour and the skincare ingredients are high quality and leave my face looking pretty good come the morning. All in all really pleased with this totally unnecessary but very good fun purchase.
